For one case, they show a field of flowers. Then they cry over a woman who died in that field of flyers. And then they were like, "Oh! Did we tell you she's a meth addict?"
In the other case, an elderly man is killed. One investigator knew him since childhood and looked at him as an older mentor. His name is Mr. Pegues, but the folk pronounce it as if it were Mr. Piggies. I think the Portuguese would be horrified at hearing one of their common last names butchered.
In both cases, a male family member is put in a position where being too forthcoming may get their male relative locked away. This will make you think about why some cultures have an anti-snitching unwritten rule. But it was interesting seeing one cousin breaking that trend and trying to get his relative to confess.
The big shocker in this episode is that one suspect tries to through through an electric chord while in an interviewing room alone. That sheds light on just how much more folk don't want to do time in prison.
This episode wasn't exceptional to others in the series, but you def'ly won't be disappointed.
