(More customer reviews)As usual for Australia, John Pilger's movies are produced separately-on in boxes containing three movies on three separate DVDs. Probably, it allows more convenient viewing while collected at and borrowed from public libraries.
"Stealing a Nation" is a story of Chagos Islands of which San Diego housing the US military base known as an unsinkable US jet carrier, is the most famous for its steadily important role in war against terrorism most recently.
This is a sad realistic story of traditional land-grabbing UK exercised most recently in the best of intentions to save a planet, and consequences for locals-bearers of British passports leaving a pitiful lives in a forced exile.
Unlike other J.Pilger's stories, this doco presents a NAKED factual data mostly, leaving producer's comments near unnoticeable that what highlights the events practically.
