(More customer reviews)This series about Detective Montabano is set in Sicily and is based on the mystery novels of Andrea Camilleri. The cinematography is exceptional as is the acting. The characters look like ordinary people instead of showy actors. Very believable. The series follows the books better than most. The subtitles are easy to follow. All in all, we've enjoyed the episodes we've watched so far.
