(More customer reviews)This show is awesome. After over 15 years it is about time Scooby got a new show. All the episodes on this DVD are great. The first episode is a really good. It has a groovy plot idea, making Fred and Velma get out of the way so Daphne can do some detective work. It wouldn't be good for alot of episodes, because Fred and Velma rock, but it worked. Space Ape at the Cape is a really good episode with Velma winning a Nasa contest. It is great for Velma fans. The alien is creepy looking and the title is an important clue. 3-D Struction is good too. A dinosaur spirit comes to haunt the museum that stole his bones. Scooby and the gang are on the case. Velma also explains why she doesn't wear make up and keeps her "natural look". And the last episode is by far the best. Lots of classic Scooby stuff. Creepy ghosts, creepy suspects, creepy Supermarket of the Supernatural. It also has stuff like Scooby acting out what he is trying to say(1st word bat wings!?) and Daphne gets kidnapped. This TV show rocks! Don't forget, the second season starts this fall on Kids WB!

Like all of the previous "What's New Scooby Doo?" DVDs, this one is better than all of the ones before (except Volume 8, they're both great!).

What's New Scooby-Doo, Vol. 5 - Sports Spooktacular (2002) Review

(More customer reviews)This DVD is way cool with a buch of sport themed episodes. First Scooby and the gang help a baseball hero break a home run record, but the ghost of Cab Crag isn't too happy about having his record broken. Then they compete in a off road race with a giant worm as a competitor - and what's with the worm worshipers -I mean they go like whoo "a giant worm is our god, whoo we hate cars". Then they go to the Bocephus wrestling facility. Could they come up with a better name than Bocephus? There's a really freaky creature which may scare your little sister. The last episode is, by far, the best. A hockey ghost is terrorizing the World Cup Hockey event. He's one of the toughest ghosts ever, either that, or the Russian Police are the biggest whimps ever! I think this DVD is a good buy if you are a Scooby fan, just be prepared, it can get a little goofy.

It has the same high quality of all Scooby cartoons, and the monsters are just scarey enough to be fun and not really scare the child. We buy all the Scooby we can for the sense of adventure and because the monsters are always proved to be nothing to be afraid of.

What's New Scooby-Doo, Vol. 3 - Halloween Boos and Clues (2002) Review

Volume 3 of the "What's New Scooby-Doo?" DVD collection, is one of thhe better volumes out there. It contains four episodes from the television series, and the monsters featured in them are the classic Halloween stuff. I liked the DVD becomes the episodes weren't obvious mysteries or dead give-aways. Each case was different and original, with a very organized plot, clever clues, and a very surprising ending. One of the best Scooby-Doo incarnations, I might say these episodes are even better than the original "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" A nice volume to buy!
The episodes included are:
1) The Vampire Strikes Back - A vampire is trying to ruin the Hex Girl's music video at a castle. (A+)
2) Mummy Scares Best - A mummy is hypnotizing tourists near the Moon Pyramid. (A+)
3) High-Tech House of the Future - A futuristic house attraction is kidnapping visitors! (A+)
4) She Sees The Sea Monster By The Sea Shore - A mysterious sea monster causes trouble by the water. (A+)
Even though the episodes aren't necessarily my favorite ones of the series, I do have to say that they deserve no less than a 10/10. This is a good volume the entire family would enjoy!
