(More customer reviews)What a deal?! ... This is definately a gift set because each of the DVDs are individually shrink wrapped (although all 4 are shrinkwrapped together in one pack!) so you can then unwrap the set and have 4 individually wrapped gifts.
I listen to quiet relaxing music (a lot of Tom Barabas) etc and usually mute the TV....I felt there were relaxing videos out there. It took a while to find but ultimately, I found Waves and bought the whole set. Now with the gift pack, I've given my whole family a different 'Waves virtual vacation' for the Holidays. And with the all natural sounds, I can play my own christmas music in the background and still listen to the ocean waves. It's like having own beach house in Hawaii or California when your really in some snowed in cabin somewhere.

(More customer reviews)I have been watching this New DVD for the past four days. I am amazed at how natural the ladies look while swimming underwater. Their eyes are open as if on land, and they all seem to smile. The clarity of the picture is just perfect. It is as if the five females where shot on land with expensive and professional lights, yet they are underwater. How Did they Do This? I find the choices of music and color the DVD provides, lets me set the mode in my own space for whatever event I am hosting. The swimming goes on and on. The ladies never seem to run out of breath, I sware they move like mermaids, so real and fish like, yet human, and HOT! Why watch fish in a tank, when I get five half fish, half human MERMAIDS, who smile at me as I smile back. If you are into background aumbiance, get this DVD Today. And don't get wet as the five swish their tale at you.

(More customer reviews)I bought this video to share with my ill father who was going to the hospital for an operation. Watching it brought us together in a wonderful hour of relaxation and prayer. We forget about his possible cancer and enjoyed the gorgeous beaches and the inspirational scriptures.
Before we were both nervous and afraid... but after- we felt at peace having given our burdens to the Lord. Thank you for this faith inspiring video.
P.S. My father did fine and his tumor wasn't cancerous. Thanks to our renewed faith, I am sure we'll be alright thanks to the Lord.

You can now see the grains of sand and the tiny ripples in the lapping waves. The improved resolution and contrast make it incredibly realistic. It's like the difference between a Beatle's record and the remasted CD. It's worth buying all over again. It looks and sounds like you're really sitting there on the beach, listening to the waves, watching the sunset, and feeling completly at ease... Best of all, it can loop continuously so I can let it run for hours... dreaming... I'm vacationing in a beautiful 5 star hotel. Try it, there's no other nature DVD like it!

(More customer reviews)Another great wave virtual vacation dvd this one features the bahamas.This dvd looks similar to Caribbean Beaches with lapping waves but the islands look a little different.My favorite scene is the thunderstorm which is on Day 2 Shot 4 and 5.If you look carefully on shot 4 you will see a flash of lightning over the ocean overlooking the dark thundercloud.This is sheet lightning(cloud to cloud)you then hear several claps of thunder over the ocean shot 5.Interestly the waves don't seem to get bigger as the storm moves in they continue lapping.Another one of my favorite scenes is the lighthouse on Day 5 shot 3 and 4 with ocean views in the forground and I love many of the ocean views on this dvd as well.The waves are mostely lapping but occasionally they are so calm you get quiter wavelets.The picture is crisp similar to the caribbean beaches dvd it really brings out the blues and greens of the waves and the transistions from day to day are very quick.Also each day ends with a beautiful sunset.Make sure you turn on the beach subtitles to see were you are on Abaco,Eleuthera and New Providence.Just go to the beach subtitles in the menu or cut on subtitles on your remote.Now you can see the Bahamas when you want too.The Virgin Islands one is now available too.I highly recommend the Bahamas Beaches.

(More customer reviews)The WAVES Virtual Vacations DVDs are spectacular! But, I do recommend buying a different WAVES DVD than this one. I bought the Sampler to see which location/DVD I wanted to buy first, and while I love the WAVES stuff and have several, this particular one is my least favorite. They tried to cram in so many locations into the sampler that some scenes are only 7 seconds long (hardly relaxing... more like a frenetic slideshow) and included some noisy animal close-ups! Despite not recommending the "sampler", I completely recommend the WAVES collection. [Note to the WAVES creaters/staff: screeching seals, etc are for a animal documentary, NOT for a calming beach getaway. It's one thing to have animals enter a scene as nature dictates, but animal specific shots are inappropriate and distracting.]

(More customer reviews)If you like waterfalls you will love this dvd.The waterfalls are really peaceful.Day 1 starts with Burney Falls.You see different falls some big some little.Waterfalls is all you will see on day 1.Day 3 starts off with a waterfall that eventually pours into the ocean.You can here both the waterfall and the waves crashing.There is also some beautiful ocean views on this disc.If you like wildlife there is plenty elephant and harbor seals,gulls etc.It even shows a seal having a baby on the island.You will also see a beautiful lighthouse on day 4 and a lake on day 2.The sunsets are beautiful.On side 2 you get Califonia Dreams with big waves.I also recommend Whispering Waters which is shot in Yosimite National Park with over 1 hour of waterfalls with natural sounds only.

HD HAWAII BEACHES 1 / WAVES Relaxation Nature Videos Review

(More customer reviews)I just got this one in the mail yesterday, and popped it into the player, and WOW! I own several of the other WavesDVD series videos, and they are all beautiful, scenic, and relaxing, but this new Blue-ray version just gives it a whole new light. You can see the grains of sand on the beach. It is like you could walk through the screen and into the ocean in Hawaii. I have a 65" Panasonic Onyx, and this DVD really brings Hawaii to life when I play it.
I give this 5 stars. Superb film making!
