elena undone.... loving annabelle.. imagine me and you... I can't think straight..... what makes a home.... the truth about jane.
this is a movie about a woman, Kate a long time home maker who has decided to divorce her husband. she begins a journey of soul searching, in trying to start over in the business world with no real skills. she then meets Mac. a sexy, openly gay real estate broker who owns your own agency and hires Kate. But has closed her heart to everyone after having lost her partner of 10 yrs.

although this does sound like the typical, archaic, woman leaves man, meets lesbian, gets converted, bla bla.... it is nothing of the sort.
the passion between these 2 women start from the moment thier eyes meet. I laughed, I cried, sometimes at the same time. these 2 actresses are you very believable. and the chemistry is definitely be there.
The love scene is passionate, and elegantly done. I have watch this movie 25 times now. it is based on 2 women who take you on a journey where love is possible. where you can fall in love with the person for all their attributes. not gender specifications..
this is a great story that all women gay or straight can find relation to. I even watch this movie with my mom. you will not be disappointed in this movie it's a keeper.

Silver Dream Racer Review

(More customer reviews)Read this review with the understanding that I first saw this movie as a 12-year old at my local cinema around 1980. And then I went to go and see it another four times in the week after that. At that time, this movie just blew me away with its motorbike race scenes - and I also wasn't puked out by the romance sub-plot either - which is saying something for a 12-year old. The sight of David Essex zipping around the track on that gorgeous silver bike - and the sad conclusion to the movie -was enough to create a warm memory of the movie for me. I'll probably see it today and be able to intellectually accept its hokiness, but sentimentally - hey, it's a good memory from my youth so I'll probably buy it for my Guilty Pleasures collection (alongside An Officer and a Gentleman and Against All Odds).

Gimme Sugar, The Complete First Season Review

(More customer reviews)"Gimme Sugar" is the reality show equivalent to "The L Word." Like "L Word",it's about a group of lesbians in Los Angeles. They're headed by Charlene,who's trying to keep her bar- and event- going. It's the Truck Stop. It's a lot like Coyote Ugly,except it's got a female audience. There's the androgynous Davonee,the impassioned Alex,and Charlene's no-nonsense bosses Linda and Michelle. There's PLENTY of drama,since Charlene's friends want to start a Saturday night club--and she's in charge of another,but can't tell them. Plenty of bickering,flirtation,love triangles. It's better than most reality shows in that you feel you get to know the people. It's not simply eating bugs in the rainforest and complaining about the heat (like Survivor - The Complete First Season) or a claustrophobic bunch of arguing people Big Brother 3 - The Complete Season)
"Gimme Sugar" is rather sweet. For all the drama,the young women are sympathetic. It's like cotton candy;lots of sweetness,little depth. It's a snack.

I saw it at the gay film festival a while ago it's pretty hilarious. The gay bar scene is SO FUNNY. I hope they keep making more skits with them in the show. Maybe a sequel to the movie two!

Queer as Folk - The Complete Series (2000) Review

(More customer reviews)First off, let me just say I would give the show five stars. It has heart and soul, gives you character you love, and still deals with important social issues.
The box set, on the other hand, I would give two stars. The set is actually really nice and looks great. There's just one problem, the disc holders are faulty. I've had to exchange the set more then once and eventually get a refund because each set I got had about half the discs dislodged from shipping. Most were scratched and scuffed so that they were unplayable in parts. Others have reported the same problem as well. I would suggest buying the seasons individually despite the increased price because no matter what method of shipping, the discs are likely to get dislodged and damaged. Better to pay a bit more and have a set you can actually watch.

Bliss - The Complete First Season (2003) Review

(More customer reviews)I was introduced to Bliss by the latenight lineup on the Oxygen channel, and I have to say, I cannot get enough. I'm missing precious sleep staying up to watch the episodes, and I really should just buy the darn thing, because you can watch the episodes time and time again. They're that good.
The show boasts being written, produced, directed, etc. by women, for women. That's nice- gives it a woman's perspective, I suppose- but this knowledge would mean nothing if the product wasn't superior. It is. I don't know if that's because of the women making it, but the end result is stunning.
Perhaps my favorite thing about this is that it ISN'T porn. I'm not against porn. It serves a purpose. But, first and foremost, I really don't enjoy seeing genitals. It's just not my thing. Buttocks- fine and titillating. Breasts, sure. Close-up almost peeks at pubic hair, a clothed erection or one in shadowy profile- hot. But I disdain the actual genital (erect being one grade worse than a flaccid nude shot). It makes me feel dirty. I don't know; maybe other women like that. Let them go for Playgirl- you get your fair share of that while maintaining the erotic/romantic side. But Bliss will only give you shots of the buttocks. To me, it's less sleazy, but still undeniably hot.
The second thing Bliss has is great stories. This NOT being porn, it's not all about the action, but puts things into context. And yet that context isn't just pizza guy delivers, and we've got no way to pay him, so start the sex! I can honestly say there are real issues at stake in every episode- women, and their men, struggling to come to terms with women wanting bondage, voyeurism, etc.. Trying to deal with plain sex vs. a relationship. And so on. My only complaint is that a half-hour is really too short for the shows. An hour would give them time to build complexity, evolve characters, and maybe cram in a bit more heat. Plus, many episodes end a little vaguely.
Anyways, the cinematography is lovely, the actors are all very attractive, and, unlike porn or other low-grade stuff, the acting here is very believable and watchable. If you catch it on a non-sexy scene, you would think it's just another nighttime drama. The stories are real but explicit and hot, and execution is perfect. I can't think of a better erotic DVD.

I felt that I had to fix who I was by continually praying for God to change me. I no longer feel that there is something that needs to be "fixed" because I now know nothing was broken in the first place; I was created in a manner exactly as God intended me to be. I now realize that I'm not alone: that there are others who are gay and have committed their lives to following the voice of the Good Shepherd by living out His message in our daily lives.
