The one thing that I really like about this video is how it focuses on Paprika as a "big sister" and what a good helper she can be for her parents around the house and with the baby. The other characters in the video give a congratulatory gift to the new big sister before giving the baby his gift, which is something I'll keep in mind when our new baby comes home in a few months. This is an upbeat video about becoming a big brother/sister, without getting into graphic detail (a visit to the baby hospital merely entails using clues to find out which baby is Paprika's new brother). It emphasizes the things toddlers find fun about babies. Steve, the host, also learns that babies sometimes cry when they need something and are small- and the toddlers learn that they started out as babies and were small once too. Overall I highly recommend this video- and in a few months I'll be able to tell you how much sank in!

It's very exciting for everyone in the house! Since Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper are expecting a baby, we show our appreciation for them during our own special holiday "Salt and Pepper Day." We give them gifts and learn more about what they like to do. The, it's off to the hospital to deliver the baby! We prepare a special gift to give to the new baby, and even learn more about babies at the baby hospital, all the while helping Paprika prepare for her important role as big sister.
