(More customer reviews)This is a an enchanting animated story portaying the parable that relates the greatest commandent- loving ones neighbor especially if its an enemy- as one loves ones self. Quite an unpopular sentiment in this day and age. It portrays a sneaky lawyer who asks Jesus what is God's greatest commandment in hopes of catching him in a lie. Jesus responses with a parable of a Jew being left bleeding on a roadside after being beaten and robbed. His own countrymen pass him by with little pity or a desire to help. He is rescued by a samaritian- a native of that ancient town of evil Samaria, the former capital of the ancient kingdom of Isreal during the days of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel.
His wounds are tended and his care is paid for by this man who he has been raised to hate since childhood. What irony, very appropriate for this day and age. One cannot be judge by skin color, religion, race or intelligence. They must be judged if they must be judged on thier own merit. One must care for one's fellow citizen of earth without these thoughts clouding thier decisions. Following this story the man who asked the question cannot accept the answer to this question: Who is thy neighbor? The answer is everyone.
