(More customer reviews)Best cartoon on the video is "Something's a Ms.," which mearks the return of Sedusa, and a new side of Miss Bellum that we have never seen. Miss Bellum fans will really rejoice with this collection, as the double episode "Criss Cross Crisis" puts Blossom into Miss Bellum's body. Of course, Bubbles ends up in the Mayor's body, and that's ... just ... not right. Worst cartoon of the lot is "The Mane Event," where Blossom learns to never let her sisters cut her hair. An intriguing villain, but way too many bad puns associated with it. The new cartoon "Power Lunch" is boffo, with the Gangrene Gang getting superpowers from irridated convenience store food. Only real bummer is that they picked a so-so Dexter's Lab cartoon - "Dexter's Lab: A Story" - for the bonus 'toon. Still, one of the best videos in the PPG collection.

Jungle Book Review

(More customer reviews)This has always been a excellent movie. The insertion of the wild animal shots was seamless. Sabu was very good. The remastering especially the colorization was great. It is clean with a low key color that gives it the feel of an old movie with the quality detail of a new one. I have already watched it twice. It is the best of the Jungle Book movies.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the DVD "Angels Too Soon" and found it to be an in-depth and objective review of a tragedy that never should have happened in the first place. It is heartbreaking to watch but at the end, I felt a great sense of gratitude to the victims. It was also comforting to know that there sacrifice was directly responsible for a radical overhaul of school fire codes nationwide. I was a student in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia school system beginning in 1961 - less than three years after the Our Lady of the Angels school fire. Being the child of a Philadelphia Fire Fighter, I also had a healthy fear of fire. I can still remember the "fire tower stairs" in the oldest (from 1928) of the three buildings that made up our 2-story grade school - cement and steel. Sealed off from each floor by heavy closed doors. Even without sprinkler systems, the chance of a fire causing a loss of life in that setting was remote. A like fire tower would have prevented the OLA tragedy. I sincerely believe that I and hundreds of thousands...millions of American school children who followed, owe the OLA victims a huge debt of gratitude. Their sad and untimely deaths and suffering made our school years safe. Thank you and Rest in Peace!

(More customer reviews)QUEER AS FOLK is still one of the most amazing TV Shows ever and is a landmark as the show for the new millennium. This New Queer As Folk Season 4 DVD Box Set has all 14 episodes of the fourth season which still happens to be one of the most controversial and bravest series on television today. The BOX SET includes Bonus features such as: Behind-the-scenes with Peter Paige's directorial debut; Sneak peek at Michelle Clunie and Gale harold's latest movie; Behind the Babylon tour; Wardrobe closet; Photo gallery; Biographies; plus Previews and promotions. I have seen all 14 episodes of Season 4 and it is another great and very emotional season. Like before I am a little upset that this season is very short (like season 3) when compared to season 1 and 2. Either way season 4 is still a good season. I am still amazed at how honest this show is on dealing with gay life. Queer As Folk ia about the life of a group of gay guys and a lesbian couple living in Pittsburgh. Queer As Folk makes no apologies and thats what is so great about this series. From the graphic sex scenes to the drama of dealing with the prejudice that still haunts America, this show is so brave and I give Showtime a big thumbs up for having the balls to take on such a big risk as Queer As Folk. This show has some issues that are far more real for some than others. This is not a show just for gay people, but for ALL people. It deals with human emotion and thats something that we can all relate to whether we be straight, gay, bisexual, black, white, brown or in between. With season 5 rumored to be the final season I encourage you all to enjoy this great show because very few shows can touch your heart yet push the limit as far as this show has. I encourage anyone who has a open mind and a open heart to BUY this amazing DVD collection as it will inspire you and if nothing else open your mind to a lifestyle not as uncommon as you may think. Watch more than one episode before you judge this amazing series. I would just like to say Queer As Folk Season 1 and 2 and 3 are also great to own. I will be in line when they release Season 4 of Queer As Folk on DVD in April 2005

Ronin Warriors - The Call (Vol. 1) (1995) Review

(More customer reviews)My first encounter with anime was in 1997 (for me, kindergarten) the first anime I ever saw was this one and it has remained very dear to me over the years. Unlike other animes I saw long ago, I was not dissapointed when I re-watched it. Some may find the English dub a little annoying (Rowen's voice drives me nuts), but it adds a bit to the humor for me. This is a very unique DVD as it is double sided. It's abit of a hindernce if you suddenly want to switch from Japanese to English or vise-versa, but you get used to it. The dialougue for the English version is kind of stereotyped. Cye with his British accent, Rowen with his New York, and Kento with his sufer. But all around the voice acting is okay for something done so long ago. I suggest you watch it in both languages first and then make a desicion on which you like better.
Basically this is a story of an evil dynasty trying to take over the world; run by a floating head. Though most likely not meant to be comical I always thought it was funny. He basically traps all the people in Japan except for one Mia Koji and a littel boy named Yuli. Enter the Ronin Warriors. Mystical armors/warriors of legend come to save the world from impending doom. At first they get their butts totally kicked, but as the story continues they get stronger and more confident.
The animation is really beautiful in some parts (particularly the armors) but can be repeatitive and some times even disproportionate! All around though, this is one of the best animes I've seen. I strongly recommend getting it for anyone who is an anime fan!
